Join the Doctor and Clara and a few of their friends and enemies as they time travel to a late 18th Century ball, where they meet Clara's favorite novelist, the young Jane Austen.

Late 18th century or Regency costumes, science fiction/fantasy costumes, and costumes inspired by Doctor Who are admired, but not required. Modern evening dress or modern attire is also just fine (The other guests will assume you are "in fancy dress costume"!).

Bangers and Mash will play a selection of late 18th century and Regency English country dances as well as a number of the new-fangled waltzes from Germany and Austria. If you would like a brush-up on your country dancing, there will be a pre-ball workshop at 7 pm.

Partners are not required and all country dances will be taught and called at the ball. The ball offers a full no-host bar and a light snack buffet.

Your potluck contributions will be most welcome.
