Come and join us in Victorian San Francisco, where the elegance of High Society meets the energy of the developing Old West. Bankers, land developers, and railroad barons mingle with miners, gamblers, cowboys and saloon girls. Everyone is welcome!
After the 7 pm pre-ball Victorian dance lesson, Greenwich Mean Time plays an evening of popular dance music fromVictorian America – from waltzes, polkas, mazurka waltzes, and schottisches to quadrilles,contra dances, reels, and mixers. The dance music will be a combination of classic Victorian ballroom dance tunes, newly popular American tunes, and ethnic dance tunes the new immigrants have taught us. No partners needed and all pattern dances will be taught and called.
