Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me.
We pillage, we plunder, we rifle, and loot,
Drink up, me hearties, yo ho.
We kidnap and ravage and don't give a hoot,
Drink up me hearties, yo ho.

Avast, me hearties! Join us for a rip-roaring evening of dancing, song, and mayhem at the Pirates' Ball.

Greenwich Mean Time - the finest dance band on the Seven Seas - will play a full evening of waltzes, polkas, and dashing country dances from the 17th and 18th centuries (All country dances will be briefly taught or called). For those of you who need a brush-up in your country dancing, there will be a pre-ball dance class from 7 to 8pm followed by formal dancing to the band from 8pm to midnight.  And, of course, we will dance perennial piratical favourites like The Jolly Roger de Coverley, Captain Jack Sparrow's Hornpipe, and the completely anachronistic Congress of Vienna Waltz and Bohemian National Polka.

Pirate costume - both period and Hollywood style - is admired, but not required. Come either as a Gentleman Pirate like Stede Bonnet in your finest 17th, 18th or early 19th century attire or in fantasy pirate costume from any literary universe (or mix and match!).  Just be sure to wear shoes or boots you can really dance in because the band's music is as irresistible as a Siren's.

Our famous no-host bar will be available for most of the evening (that means you pays for yer own drinks, Mateys!)
